Bringing Music to the Heart of Northern California.

At Pacific Crest Music, we believe that access to quality music education and live performance is a right—not a privilege. Our mission is to bring transformative musical experiences to the communities we serve, both during our annual summer festival and throughout the year.

This work is especially critical in rural areas like Siskiyou County, where many students have little or no access to music instruction. With the help of generous donors and community partners, Pacific Crest Music is actively closing that gap—creating opportunities for youth to engage with music, often for the very first time.

In 2023, we proudly launched a private lesson scholarship program for local students. Through this initiative, selected students receive free weekly lessons taught by professional local musicians, as well as all necessary instruments and materials—completely free of charge. This program not only supports emerging young artists but also uplifts the local teaching community by providing meaningful employment to dedicated Siskiyou County musicians.

We’ve also partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta, allowing festival artists to perform for and mentor local youth. Additional outreach events have reached students in Dunsmuir, Mt. Shasta, McCloud, Montague, Yreka, Grenada, Gazelle, and Weed—with an expanded tour planned for fall 2024 to include Scott Valley, Tulelake, and Happy Camp.

In 2025, Pacific Crest Music helped raise funds and develop a comprehensive music curriculum that restores in-school music education to all students at Dunsmuir Elementary—many of whom had never received formal instruction. Students now participate in music classes twice a week and have the opportunity to join a newly launched after-school strings program. All instruction is led by exceptional local musicians, creating fair-wage teaching jobs while nurturing a new generation of young artists. Building on this success, we are already working to expand this model to other schools across Siskiyou County.Your support makes this work possible.

Every donation helps us expand access, deepen impact, and spark a lifelong love of music in the hearts of young people across Northern California.Join us in building a more vibrant, equitable, and musical future—one student, one performance, and one community at a time.
